Trutanich Claims Victory
May 20, 2009
While I couldn’t stay awake long enough last night to get an official victory, out of the gate Carmen Trutanich was holding a lead on his opponent Jack Weiss. I was happy to find this morning that Los Angeles has a new City Attorney who brings high hopes for changes in our criminal system – “Nuch” Trutanich.
As a bail bondsman, I see the City Attorney’s job in terms of what happens in the jails and courts. I know that others have different concerns: in this economy and all economic conditions, the fiscal issues in the City Attorney’s office are important. Public safety comes first, of course, and providing public safety while reducing costs – or at least better spending the funds allocated to the department – would be golden! I look forward to watching how Mr. Trutanich will hold and mold his office. I have no doubt that he will “roll up his sleeves” and get to work. It’s no easy task and we are happy to give Los Angeles’ bondsmen support to Trutanich.
Nuch: Congratulations! We are thrilled to know that someone who understands the bail and criminal system so well will be hold such an important office. Along with others, we’ll be anxiously awaiting positive changes.

Sounds like he’ll make a good city attorney. In that type of job, you definitely need to “roll up the sleeves” and dig in.
