Real Estate Broker Today, California Bail Bondsman Tomorrow?
Written by 888BailBond Bondsman on August 16, 2009 – 6:45 am -If you are having ideas for a new career like many people these days, maybe you’d like to know how to become a bail bondsman. It probably seems like easy money: answer the phone, collect 10% of the total bail amount, post the bond… “next!” Before you take any of the steps necessary in getting licensed by the Department of Insurance (yes, you will have to pass a test), you might want to take a look at the life of a bail bondsman.
(Assumedly, you already know how bail bonds work, so I’ll skip those details.) In order to survive as a bail bondsman, be prepared to be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Any good bail bondsman or company will tell you, the entire livelihood of the company is generated from the 10% premium of the bail that is written. If you are not willing to take calls on Saturday morning at 3:00am, you probably won’t be in business for very long.
Additionally, doing all the necessary technical steps to becoming a bail bondsman are very straight forward, but Read more »
Is The Orange County Jail Safe?
Written by 888BailBond Bondsman on August 15, 2009 – 8:01 am -
The Orange County Jail isn’t the best place for anyone to spend time. Probably one of the reasons the place keeps our bail company fairly busy. Now the jail is under investigationby the U.S. Department of Justice .
The Orange County Jail has had allegations ongoing for quite some time, but now things have stepped up with the justice department getting involved. One of the latest cases was most likely broke the straw that broke the camel’s back and caused the increase in interest. A deputy at the Theo Lacy Jail allegedly Read more »
Man Holds Off LAPD For 8 Hours
Written by 888BailBond Bondsman on August 15, 2009 – 7:40 am -
The mother stated that the man suffered from depression. Maybe that’s why he decided to add some excitement in his life. Driving a red Volkswagen Beetle, being chased through Westwood by the Los Angeles Police Department and a few UCLA police officers might seem like a nice way to spruce things up, but the end result of 8 hours of the LAPD firing multiple tear gas canisters in your car and tazering you through the window just doesn’t seem like a good way to spend the afternoon.
Apparently the man was suspected of Read more »
Manson’s “Squeaky” Fromme Ends a 34 Year Prison Term
Written by Robin Sandoval-March on August 15, 2009 – 7:23 am -She even managed to “squeak out” of prison… for a little while
Back in the 1970′s, she was the quiet 26-year-old “bad girl” who carved an “X” into her head and hung out with Charles Manson, one of the most famous mass murderers of our time.
I remember the long red hair… I remember the Manson connection. But hey, I was just a kid. I also remember she was arrested for attempting to assassinate our then President, Gerald Ford, in Sacramento and that was a very bad thing. Her attempt however, was foiled by Ford’s secret service.
This past Friday, Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme had a welcome Read more »

Slumber Party Turns Arrest Party in Martinez
Written by 888BailBond Bondsman on August 13, 2009 – 5:56 am -
Neighbors must have thought they were watching a circus of some sort when police showed up at a home on Miller Ave in Martinez looking for a woman to do a check on a welfare question. Within minutes, the person who answered the door was arrested (suspicion of under the influence of meth) and taken to the County Jail in Martinez.
After being alerted by neighbors, police took chase after two others fleeing out the back. More police were called in to cover the house and arrested another, who didn’t go lightly, threatening the officers and fighting.
The police didn’t stop there, and for good reason. Read more »
Dog The Bounty Hunter, God and Tony Robbins
Written by Tonya Rynerson on August 11, 2009 – 6:38 am -
I am not a Dog the Bounty Hunter fan, per se. However, when people first find out that I’m a bail bondsman the question of “Dog” inevitably comes up. So, I follow Duane Chapman, aka “The Dog”, to some limited extent.
I recently ran across an article where I learned something new about Chapman - a Tony Robbins influence:
Chapman also said that, besides religion, “my changing point was Anthony Robbins.”
When they first met, he says, Robbins said to him: “You’re the greatest challenge of my life.” They embarked on a partnership Read more »
Actor Tom Sizemore Arrested – Again
Written by Robin Sandoval-March on August 9, 2009 – 7:14 am -Domestic Violence, Drugs and Theft… Oh My!
Remember when 44 year old actor Tom Sizemore was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend at the time, Hollywood madam, Heidi Fleiss? Well, seems like Tom didn’t learn his lesson after being arrested that time. Only two years later he was jailed for failing a drug test while on probation.
Again, history repeats itself when Wednesday evening at 9:30, Sizemore, known for his roles in “Strange Days” and “Blackhawk Down,” was arrested near downtown Los Angeles. He was allegedly involved in yet another incident involving domestic violence with a woman that became physical, police said. Full details have not been released. However, Sizemore was booked and held on a $20,000 bail for the misdemeanor.
There’s more: It was just May of this year, just 70 days earlier Read more »

13-Year-Old Girl Spends 13 Days in Dallas Jail
Written by Robin Sandoval-March on August 9, 2009 – 6:15 am -It’s August, 2009. How is it possible these days with our advanced national computer systems and standardized protocols that a 13 year old girl could mistakenly spend 11 days; that’s almost two weeks locked inside of an adult Dallas County Jail?
Well it did happen, and now a serious investigation has been duly launched by the Dallas Police Department and Dallas County Jail. Seems like the mix-up all began when 2 girls were arrested for shoplifting at a Target store by an officer who mistakenly took them for 2 adult women. Read more »
