They’ve Got A Ticket To Ride…

Hey, when you’ve made it big time in show biz, sometimes it just takes a quick ride down to the local bank to withdraw any sum of money you need; for any reasonable reason or item. 

Uh, I guess it also takes celebrity status be jailed, and while still in custody,  have a sheriff personally drive you to the bank to withdraw your bail money.

As in the case of Rancy Quaid and his wife, Evi.  After spending a few hours in a Marfa, West Texas County jail, a Presidio County Sheriff decided he’d give them a lift to retrieve their bail money. The reasonable thing to do indeed.  Although it was said the celebrity was given no special treatment, the Sheriff also stated, “I like to help everybody out. It’s a small town.”

The two Quaids were arrested Thursday afternoon on a felony warrant for defrauding an inkeeper and burglary. Seems they “skipped out” on a bill of more than $10 grand at a hotel in Santa Barbara.

The two spent several hours behind bars before their release, their bail amount was $20,000 each.  Independence Day!
