Fake Cops Behind Real Bars in Elk Grove
March 21, 2010Last Friday, around 1:00 AM, Elk Grove Police Department took three men into custody for their suspected involvement in a home invasion robbery.
The men allegedly forced their way into a house in the 4800 block of Roselin Way by posing as police officers. They were also dressed in official law enforcement uniforms and identified themselves as “officers” at the door. The men handcuffed their victims and robbed their house before speeding off in the residents’ truck. Fortunately, no one in the family they attacked was hurt.
The trio is currently incarcerated in the Sacramento County Jail where they are being held on charges of first-degree robbery, carjacking, kidnapping, impersonating a police officer and conspiracy.
