Not too many bondsmen in the area will do a bond that low, so now instead of $2,000, they are coming up with $3,000. If they do, there's no bondsman in the picture to help ensure appearance. Wouldn't lowering the bail schedules ease the overcrowding issues too?....Before Joe-Tax-Payer gets nailed. For example here in LV, battery domestic violence bail amounts start at $3,000 whereas in CA, I believe they're closer to $20,000.
