A 61-year-old man who was tired of complaining about an unsafe intersection was arrested after he decided to take matters into his own hands.
This all started, according to a report by the Huffington Post, because the now-defendant, Bruce Homer, was tired of people running a particular stop sign. Since the police weren’t doing anything about it, he said, he decided he’d crash his own car to make a point.
According to police reports, the crash happened when a man was driving through the intersection in question, when, without warning, Horner pulled his car out in front of him. HuffPo reports that Homer then walked up to this man and said: “You ran the stop sign and this is the 10th accident at this intersection and they won’t do anything until someone dies.”
When law enforcement officials arrived, Homer took credit for the crash. He was then promptly arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and one count of reckless driving. His bail bonds were set at $20,500.
