Just when you think the “Florida crime” stories can’t get any weirder…
Police in Melbourne say they’ve arrested 25-year-old Drew Cywinski after he got into an argument with his roommate over a slice of pizza.
Fighting with a roommate over food is nothing new—but if one of the people involved in the argument decides to pull out a knife, and stab someone, well, that’s bound to land someone behind bars.
According to the police, it all started when Cywnski became “enraged” after his friend ate a slice of pizza that he’d been saving for himself. Things got so out of hand that the now-defendant struck his friend over the head with a golf club before pulling out a knife and stabbing him.
Authorities say the pair had been smoking a synthetic form of marijuana prior to the incident.
Cywnski was arrested and booked at the Brevard County Jail on $20,000 bail bonds. He’s been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and battery.
