Construction for New Richmond Jail Finally Underway
Written by 888BailBond Bondsman on January 23, 2012 – 11:46 am -The City of Richmond has broken ground on the new $134.6 million jail facility, which will replace the old facility that has been in use since it opened in the 1960s. The plans were approved in December by the Virginia Board of Corrections. The new facility is rated to house 1,032 inmates and is scheduled to open its doors in 2014. It is being constructed next to the existing Richmond jail.
The current jail is only rated to house 880 inmates, but that number has been stretched between 1,300 and 1,500 inmates total, at times. This has caused some concern that the new jail will reach capacity quickly. Mayor Dwight C. Jones has promised, however, that the new facility is Read more »
Richmond Teens Arrested In Church Shooting
Written by 888BailBond Bondsman on February 23, 2010 – 7:09 pm -A second Richmond teen has been arrested for his suspected role in a shooting spree that occurred inside a local church, last week. On Saturday night, a Richmond Police officer took the 16-year-old youth into custody on Barrett Avenue during a routine stop. Detectives had issued a warrant for him, and he is now being held at the Richmond Juvenile Hall. Juveniles are not eligible for bail bonds as adults would be. Generally, they are either released to their parents or held at a juvenile detention facility.

Take a pilot’s license, a small private plane, a jealous ex-boyfriend and what do you have? Tom Huey, 51 a man bent on angry suspicion proving to have a “bad attitude.” Talk about flying stalker!
Police state Huey, a seasoned pilot violated a domestic violence restraining order when he piloted his 1957 high-performance Beech plane several times over a Canterbury Village neighborhood in Concord, California. Seems his ex-girlfriend lives in the area.
He was arrested by police on Wednesday, shortly after landing at Concord’s, Buchanan Field Airport. He’s being held at the on $150,000 bail at Contra Costa County Jail.

Marijuana Search Leads Martinez Police to Bombs

Next shows up the Contra Costa County Narcotics enforcement team serving a warrant to search the house for narcotics, marijuana in particular.
