Ahh, Mother’s Day — For some it conjures the smell of chocolate chip cookies baking in the oven; the sting of Bactine and band aids on the knee; or long nights mom spent wiping away our crocodile tears.

Our mothers taught us how to be upstanding citizens, to do the right thing and respect other people. Invariably, they would also sometimes dress us in funny clothes or brightly colored shoes we didn’t like. But heck, we still loved our mothers and would do anything in the world for them.

Orange County Closes Women’s Jail

Orange County Women's JailThis week has seen the closing of Orange County Women’s Jail. The County will now house female inmates and defendats at the Intake Release Center (known as IRC) and James Musick Jail, known as “The Farm”.
