Care for a Haunted Hotel Stay? How About Haunted Jail Cell for Halloween

If you’re a fool for a “frightening good time,” here’s a great vacation stay opportunity. You and a guest can spend the night in a jail cell turned hotel room for two. That’s right, the ‘haunted’ jail stay includes amenities like, two “Scream Cocktails” at the Alibi. (That’s what used to be the old drunk tank) turned night spot at the jail. You can also enjoy breakfast at the Clink Restaurant and more.
This scary Halloween package is offered at Boston cities’, Charles Street Jail. Famous people have had their stay there, including Mayor James Michael Curley and “Catch Me If You Can,” Frank Abagnale Jr. The old jail was closed by court order as being “too unfit for prisoners.”

Ling & Lee Freed!
Written by Tonya Rynerson on August 5, 2009 – 6:34 am -I currently watch overwhelmed as Laura Ling addresses the press following the release of Euna Lee and herself who were arrested while traveling in North Korea, where bail bonds are not available. The two were convicted of hostile acts against North Korea and sentanced to 12 years of hard labor.
Now, they have been freed after North Korean officials asked for a meeting with former President Bill Clinton. Ling’s account of walking into a room, not knowing what to expect, but seeing President Clinton and knowing that the nightmare of their lives was over. Read more »

Arrested While Traveling

Being arrested abroad is a serious situation. Other countries don’t offer the protection that the United States offers.
