UCLA Student Demonstrators Arrested

Fourteen student demonstrators have been arrested at UCLA for protesting against rising tuition fees which would be set to increase $585 in the coming spring, followed by a rise next fall of $1,344.  That’s a 32% increase.

A  UC Regents board meeting was interrupted by approximately 500 students during a peaceful demonstration where banners were held high as students chanted, “cut from the top!”

Man Holds Off LAPD For 8 Hours

Red BeetleThe mother stated that the man suffered from depression. Maybe that’s why he decided to add some excitement in his life. Driving a red Volkswagen Beetle, being chased through Westwood by the Los Angeles Police Department and a few UCLA police officers might seem like a nice way to spruce things up, but the end result of 8 hours of the LAPD firing multiple tear gas canisters in your car and tazering you through the window just doesn’t seem like a good way to spend the afternoon.
